Come With Me : Part Ⅰ

⋆˚✿˖°
Hellooo, it’s been quite a while since I’ve had you all tag along with me as I go out, so here we are. It’s Sunday so you know we gonna be in church. Today it’s just my mum and I. First things first we need to dissect the outfit, my outfit for today ate down as expected.

For the top I chose a slightly cropped and knotted brown long sleeved from South Beach. The material is kinda silky and I like the way the sleeves grip my arms, make them look real nice lol. Though because of this I have to move all I’m wearing on my wrist, on top of the shirt. It used to be a problem when I was constantly wearing my watch, but now since its broken it all just worked out.
For my bottoms I’m wearing a light brown skirt with silver buttons along with some black stockings. To finish it off I have my classic black boots, I swear these boots can go well with anything. It’s a simply fit but I feel what made it was the styling. Mainly the accessories and my work on my hair and my makeup. For my accessories I have a gold bracelet, very long dangly pear earrings and a cute bear hairclip.
For my hair I won’t lie, I came up with the style last minute, and it was perfect. It gave me slight shoujo girl vibes also my curls were eating despite me having them for a while. I wasn’t initially going to post only close up photos or any pics where you could see my makeup, but i was feeling very generous.

Its quite the simple look, but i found it quite charming. For the inner part of my eyelids i used white eyeshadow and for my hoods i used lipstick. Before you judge, let me explain. I own eyeshadow palettes that have pink and red shades. Despite this, I feel like they can’t compete with using lipstick for all pink i need. If you would like to try it sometime the lipstick I use is Unapologetic by Betty in the shade —-. This is also one of the first looks where i used Kohl. I’m not sure if its quite visible in the picture, but i quite love it. Then to finish it off a bit of my lip oil!
Now we are all dressed and ready to start our day, I take it that you are dressed and ready to go too because we are currently running late for church, the praise and worship has already started and we are not yet in church lol.
⛪
As for the service it was really good, I thoroughly enjoyed it. At first, I wasn’t sure there was going to be preaching since there were a few performances by different ministries which took quite some time. There was also a discussion panel featuring a representative for all the generations giving their opinions on various questions asked by the host of the panel.
Afterwards there was only around thirty minutes left until the end of the service so I assumed there wasn’t going to be enough time for preaching. But then our speaker of the day came and I was really pleasantly surprised to see it was actually one of my friends who was preaching. She did really well. Her message and delivery of it was really amazing and I made sure to give her the flowers she deserved. Overall, the service as nice.

Now that church was over, we went on to go have lunch as we were starving. We ended up going to CJ’s which was completely my mum’s decision as when she asked where I wanted to eat, I just said anywhere was fine and waited to see where she’d take me like the passenger princess I am (off topic but I love being a passenger princess, it’s just so fun and stress-free)

So off to CJ’s we went! One thing about CJ’s is that their portions are always so large. It is the kind of amount that sometimes you just look at your plate of food before you and start calculating how you’re going to finish it all. Though I’m not complaining . Anyways because of this my mum and I decided to just order a plate of chicken quesadillas and share them.

For our drinks I got pineapple juice and she got tea as always. As much as I am addicted to tea I don’t think I’ll ever reach close to the tea addiction my mum has lol.

. I just picked the pineapple juice randomly, BUT BRO. That was, hands down, the best pineapple juice I’ve ever had in my life. Like take me back. It was genuinely so good.
The CJ’s we went to (The Kilimani branch) has to be my favourite out of the ones I’ve gone to. Apart from their really good pineapple juice, the interior design, arrangement and vibe of the place is impeccable. It just so nice. From the entrance wall with the yummy looking blue tiles to the very huge and interesting looking fans.

I really enjoyed lunching with my mum; we had some really good and fun conversations. One of them being her making a big deal of me eating the guacamole with my quesadillas because I’m a certified avocado disliker surrounded by avocado addicts, her being one of them. Don’t come for me but I don’t really get the hype around avocados, like how are having them with every meal of the daaay? But I love them with the quesadillas, they just enhance the taste of it all and its quite delicious.
After we paid our bill, we went on a little drive to Hardy and stopped by a nice little store. It’s one of those stores that only sell fruits and vegetables, I know you know which ones I’m talking about. Off topic but those stores always have that same smell of vegetables. Like I know it’s the main item of sale but like why do all the vegetable smells come together to make the same scent? A little variety never killed anyone as far as I know, just saying.
We went on a mini shopping spree of fruits and veggies, we also got some freshly made juice. I’m a sucker for the concept of freshly made juice but then it reaches a point. Let me be honest, I will never accept vegetable juices as juices. No impressive list of benefits will ever make me drink a juice consisting of beetroot, carrot and turmeric. Call me close minded but I like my juice with REAL fruits.

With all that said my mum got carrot juice, even after I gave her a long, power point-esque presentation on how carrot juice and other juices of its kind will never be real juices in my eyes. I don’t think she fully understood the severity of the matter because she still offered me a sip, MULTIPLE TIMES. I love her lol.
After we got all our many many fruits and vegetables checked out and our juices bottled, we were back in the car, onto our last stop of the day (I wasn’t very excited to end such a nice day) Our final stop was Panda Mart. We had gone to get me so rollers to revive my dying curls. Though I also ended up getting a claw clip (the revived curls deserved the best treatment I thought) and a laptop bag.

For as long as I’ve had my beautiful laptop, which I’d say is just a bit over a year, I’ve never had a laptop bag. I just had the case that it sleeps in. So, every time I had to carry it with me, I had to use a tote bag which was a tight fit. So, it was an essential I was missing. Also, I was very jealous of my mum’s cute laptop bag.

I was conflicted over two bags. I liked the design of one bag over the other but I didn’t think it would be able to comfortably fit my laptop when I place it inside horizontally. This was a hard thing to estimate by the way. I wasn’t sure if it would fit or not because I’ve never been good at estimating literally anything. I always admire when ppl can estimate measurements and they are close like wow, teach meeee.
So, I ended up going for the other one. I still think its really cute. I also like the message on it, which is “Be kind to your mind.” I think it’s a really good reminder, we sometimes tend to be mean and harsh to ourselves when we are angry or irritated (we being me), so it’s a good message lol.
When we were still shopping, I had the brilliant idea to get embroidery thread as well since I wanted to try embroidering little designs on my bag (the material seems really perfect for it) I think it’s quite obvious by now that I love embroidery, it so interesting to your girl. Though sadly they only had sewing thread. So, we wrapped up our shopping and finally headed home.
I hope that you enjoyed spending my Sunday with me, until next time. Bye bye!
