Fun Websites To Cure Boredom⊹ ࣪ ˖꩜⋆。📡°✩ 🖥️

Have you ever been completely bored on the internet? Felt like there is nothing to do? No interesting show to watch, no entertaining YouTube video, no one to chat with, mindless scrolling has also gotten boring? Well same! It really does suck doesn’t it?
I was quite tired of finding myself in such an instance so I went on a journey to find boredom killers on the vast internet. And I was able to come across some websites and games that help do just that! I would like to share them with you so we can enjoy them together. Most of the items on this list are games because I genuinely love playing games, chill one especially, because I cannot for the life of me play anything other than story or platformer games, I just lack skill lol .(Visual novels are also an absolute fave of mine)
01.
Murdle

I mentioned this previously in my post, How to plan a sleepover. It’s a website where new murder mysteries are generated daily and you as a Detective Logico are supposed to solve them. It’s based of the Murdle book series by G. T. Karber. So, each day a new mystery is generated and they vary in difficulty. Some days you are provided with statements by the suspects themselves just to make it a more challenging. But on the normal mysteries you have a bit of back story, cards that show the suspects, weapons brought by said suspects and locations and clues and evidence. You use these plus your big brain to fill in your notebook and solve the murder! If its your first time you get to play something known as a mini murdle to get you used to the structure of the game.

Google Doodle Games
“I ADORE DOODLE GAMES, but it came to my attention that most people do not know about them. Which makes me wonder, DON’T PEOPLE PRESS THE VERY INTERESTING DOODLES GOOGLE MAKES FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS? Anyways for those who don’t know about doodle games I will explain. As you must know during special occasions, the Google logo gets customized in an interesting way. That is what is referred to as a Google doodle.
Sometimes these doodles come along with games. To access them you can go to https://sites.google.com/iss.k12.nc.us/cceart/google-doodle-games. The site has all of them, even those which you wouldn’t find if you just go to the archive that appears as the first.
Some cool ones which I think you should definitely check out are, Doodle champion island games which came out in 2021 to celebrate the 2020 Tokyo Olympics which follows Lucky The Cat on his quest to become a champion on the said island and Valentines day doodle that came out in 2017 which follows a pangolin who wants to plan the perfect valentines for his girlfriend ( HOW ADORABLE IS THAT?)
03.
Stillwater

I came to first know about this game when I was scrolling on Pinterest (actually most of what’s on this list I found out about through Pinterest!) Stillwater is an adventure game made by indie developer Studio clump. It follows Hugo, a private investigator who takes on a mysterious case brought by a young woman along with a letter containing a foreboding message etched in crimson. It has four endings, one epilogue and achievements. The playtime is one hour
I really adore this game and it’s an understatement to say I really enjoyed playing this game. There is so much to praise about it. For one, the visuals. The art in this game is very appealing, I really love the art style. A personal favourite is the lack of noses on all characters. Also, the storyline, oh where do I start with the story line. It is very detailed and well thought out. From the beginning, the storyline has you hooked, in suspense. You never really know what’s going to happen. I remember when I was first playing it, I would try and explain the lore to a friend of mine so I could really soak it all in.
I would also put off playing it until i had gotten all my tasks done because I would always get so excited to play it and would use that excitement to fuel my motivation to get everything else done. It may have been slightly unconventional, but all that mattered was that it worked.
THEN DON’T GET ME STARTED ON THE CHARACTERS, I could go on and on about this game but this is not the only thing on our agenda sadly. I could make a review post if you guys would like that.
The game is completely free but you can tip the developers too, which when I get my hands on some money I definitely will because the game is absolutely amazing. You just download it on your device from itch io and start playing!
If you get some warnings from your computer don’t worry about those, I was also wary of them at the start but the game is safe! In my case I got some warnings about how my computer did not know that contents of the file but I continued just fine. Also, I had to “zip” the file for it to work, not exactly sure what that is. But all I’m saying is don’t worry if you have to go through a process to get it up and running.
04.
Neal.fun

I’m pretty sure if you have been on the internet for some time, you may have just found yourself on Neal. Fun. It is basically a website full of various fun games and other stuff made by a guy named Neal. It is updated occasionally with new games. It has a pretty awesome selections of games if I do say so myself. I recommend trying out are stimulation clicker (You wouldn’t believe how much time I’ve spent on that clicker; I’m not a clicker fan but this one is just so fascinating to me), Ambient Chaos and Space elevator.
05.
Dino Swords

We all know the classic Google Dino game, but did you know there is a slightly better version? I know nothing can beat the original but this comes close. Dino sword is basically the same as the original Google Dino game but now you have some sick weapons. At the start of your run, before you encounter any cacti, you get a weapon. You get to control the different weapons you get using your keyboard. You have an armoury that shows which weapons you have and when you use a weapon. All the weapons also come with a cool little description.
06.
Wiggly paint
I don’t even have a good introduction for this game, ITS JUST SO AMAZING. Wiggly paint is an itch io game by internet janitor where you basically can draw on a silly little drawing program and turn it into a gif. Before we even talk about the gif feature, I have to say, the drawing program itself is so fun! Everything is drawn in this cute lil art style AND EACH TOOL HAS ITS OWN SOUND. It’s so satisfying to hear how the different pens sound when drawing or the markers when colouring. On the screen you only three marker pens but when you go the options page you have the option to customise your pallet or use the preset pallets.
After you are done with your drawing you can simply export it and boom you have a cool gif. Here is one I made!

I know you didn’t ask but I’m gonna tell you about Mr Skelly because this is my blog and I have free will lol. He is in a very cool indie band and is obviously the heartthrob of the band. He plays the guitar and one flip of his hair gets all the girls fainting. But he has a girlfriend who he really loves, how unfortunate for his multiple fangirls (and fanboys too)
07.
Radio.garden

I’m personally not one to listen to the radio. The few times I have is maybe when riding the school bus or in a car I’m not usually in. But I really like the concept of radio.garden. The ability to listen to radios around the world is really cool. In the little time I have spent on the site I’ve listened to some really interesting stations, some with really nice music and others with interesting hosts. One of the features I really appreciate is that you can favourite stations you really like and come back to them another time. I also realized that apart from using it for entertainment, you can use it to help you learn a language. One of the basic ways of learning a language is consuming media in your desired language. And what’s a better way than listening to a radio station in that exact language?
08.
Window swap

(𝔒𝔫𝔢 𝔬𝔣 𝔪𝔶 𝔣𝔞𝔳𝔬𝔲𝔯𝔦𝔱𝔢 𝔴𝔦𝔫𝔡𝔬𝔴𝔰 + 𝔒𝔫𝔢 𝔬𝔣 𝔪𝔶 𝔣𝔞𝔳𝔬𝔲𝔯𝔦𝔱𝔢 𝔍𝔬𝔧𝔦 𝔰𝔬𝔫𝔤𝔰)
Are you a fan of gazing out of your window and admiring the outside world? Ever wondered about what you could have been admiring instead if you were in a different part of the world? I think it’s an interesting thought, and this site is the perfect thing to satisfy that thought. Window swap is a site where you can experience what is outside different window around the world. A simple click and you are transported around the world to gaze upon what’s beyond the glass. You can see who submitted the window, where in the world the window is and even save it for later! You could also submit your own window if you’d like!

Rabbit Hole Sounds

I am personally a picky person. Whether is comes to food or media I stick to what I know I will like and kind of find it hard to try new things. Though I think with this site I can make a few advancements in the music sector. Rabbit Hole Sounds is a site where you can search your favourite artist or tracks and it will give a list of tracks and artists that are just like it! With also the option to preview the songs from the site and add it to your liked songs on Spotify from the site still which I think is really cool! They are also different levels to it’s the high the level you go the deeper down the rabbit hole you go. And I gotta say, the recommendations are really good!
And now we have come to the end of my very amazing list! If you liked it, I will make a part two to this list. I hope I have helped vanquish your boredom! Until the next post, cya!
